Everything You Need To Know About Giulietta | giulietta
The Giulietta is the first new car in over twenty years to launch for Alfa Romeo. And the Giulietta's compact platform is extremely important to Fiat's entire mid-market group, as it's enabling the production of smaller, more powerful Fiats, Lucelys, Lancias and several other spin-offs.
So it has to be great. The Giulietta will be competing in the smallest segment in Europe, and if it succeeds, Alfa's brand could form the backbone of Alfa's future. But the Giulietta must also prove to be an excellent car, a car that will satisfy its audience in both look and feel. The Giulietto will be launched in Italy in March at the Paris Motor Show, so there is still some time to prepare it for the showrooms, but for now, let's focus on the new Giulietta's powertrain and the rest of its technical details.
The Giulietto's engine is an 8C turbocharged four, and it puts out a healthy 552 horsepower. That's enough to make it very fast, and it will be very efficient. The Giulietto's turbo will make it able to accelerate down the track and into a top speed of 250 km/h, and the car's torque figures are higher than any car it competes with, including the Alfa Romeo Giulia. That's why it has the ability to put all that power to good use: it can propel the Giulietto out of corners and make its way into corners with much more confidence. And that is what Alfa needs.
The Giulietto's hybrid drivetrain will give it the most torque and the highest power from its powertrain, which includes the use of both gasoline and diesel. With a new hybrid system combining the gasoline and diesel engines, the Giulietto will be able to keep up with the top Fiats when driving off-road.
The Giulietto is going to have one of the best transmission systems you'll see on a modern car. It has a nine-speed automatic, and a dual-clutch gearbox. A clutchless transfer case helps to give the Giulietto greater agility, but it's also easier to get under control. and more responsive, even under hard cornering turns. As far as brakes gooseneck technology goes, the Giulietto has them too; its brakes are larger, better-developed and made of magnesium, and they use an innovative wet-stopping system. They're also better-damped and longer lasting than before, so they can be easily adjusted if you need to brake more aggressively or more accurately.
As for looks, the Giulietto will have a long hood that looks like it was meant for the Alfa. The rear end is a little shorter and it features a wide, low bonnet.
