The stunning new Aston Martin Rapide is not your usual everyday sports car that you see on the road today. This is a special vehicle that was designed with a sports car enthusiast in mind and features an interior that is meant to be luxurious, as well as a drive that is both impressive and exhilarating.
The Rapide is a five door, four seater, sports saloon, high performance automobile, which the British sports luxury marque Aston Martin released in January 2010. It has been first launched as a prototype vehicle at the London Motor Show in 2005 and its production version followed two years later at the Geneva Motor Show. Since then, it has taken on an entirely new look and all the features of an Aston Martin are present, including the iconic wheel arch. This is the reason why this vehicle has already become a hugely popular one, being featured in magazines and newspapers around the world.
The vehicle was built in Romania, with the bulk of the work taking place in Germany. Romania is a very famous country for its high quality steel and is considered by many as the perfect place to build a sports car. The Rapide has a carbon fibre roof, a front splitter, side vents and a rear diffuser. The roof vents are designed to aid in extracting as much of the heat from the engine, as possible, helping to keep the vehicle cooler when the engine is working hard.
The interior of the Aston Martin Rapide has received significant attention, thanks to its design. The interior is extremely luxurious, with the seats being covered in leather and made to feel as though they were designed specifically for a sports car, with a massive amount of room inside.
The interior of the Aston Martin Rapide also has a lot of air flow in order to keep it cool. The seats are air-con, and there is a large centre console where the drivers can switch to full air-con, if need be. The seats are also adjustable in order to suit every driver.
The most exciting part of the vehicle however is the engine, which is based on the 3.0-liter twin-turboom V12 engine, used in the original Rapide. This engine is one of the most powerful and efficient ever used in a sports car, as an internal combustion engine. The engine is also a close match to the power of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and has an astonishing power rating of 882 horsepower, with a torque of 690 pound-feet.
